China's Olympian Zou Shiming used his height and reach advantage and boxed Thailand's Prasitsak Phaprom the whole night to fashion out a dominant win and capture the WBO world flyweight title at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas Saturday night on the undercard of the Pacquiao-Vargas WBO world welterweight bout.

A well timed right cross in the second round by Shiming sent Phaprom to the canvas in the second round but Shiming apparent lack of power failed to finish the Thai who absorbed heavy punishment the whole night from Shiming accurate punches to the head.

Scores: Don Trella, 120-107; Tim Cheatham, 120-107; Robert Hoyle, 119-108 all for China's Zou Shiming.

Shiming captured his first world title and improved his record to 9-1-0 with 2 knockouts while Phaprom dropped to 39-2-0 with 24 knockouts.
