Eight division world champion, ?Fighter of the Decade? and a senator from the Republic of the Philippines Manny Pacquiao says ?training camp has been great? in his preparation for the showdown against WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas whom he faces at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas on November 6, Manila Time.

Pacquiao in a media workout at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles yesterday just ten days before his title bout against 5?10? Vargas who has promised he would knock him out in eight rounds which prompted former two division world champion Gerry Pe?alosa to remark that Vargas ?must be dreaming.?

Pacquiao told the media representatives that he ?felt good? and although he was hit by jetlag for a few days because of the long flight from Manila to Los Angeles he was ?getting better? and promised his plan was ?to make the fans happy.?

He noted ?it is the first time that a senator would step into the ring as a boxer.? Pacquiao said the 5?10? Vargas is several inches taller than him and it is important for him to realize that he ?can't afford to underestimate Vargas.? He dismissed claims that ?this is an easy fight and fans must remember Vargas is a champion.?

Pacquiao emphasized that ?it is important for me to win convincingly to prove I?m still here.?
