ARROYO AND ANCAJAS MAKE WEIGHT FOR IBF TITLE FIGHT

TAGUIG CITY, METRO MANILA ? Defending champion McJoe Arroyo (17-0,8KO?s) of Puerto Rico and Filipino challenger Jerwin Ancajas (24W-1L-1D,16KO?s) easily made the super flyweight limit during the official weigh-in held today for their IBF super flyweight world title fight.

Arroyo stepped on the scales at 114lbs while Ancajas was at the division limit of 115 lbs. The weigh-in was held at the Jurado Hall of the Philippine Navy Gymnasium.

There was a press conference held after the weigh-in and the atmosphere was civil and wanting of any trash talking. Attending the event was IBF supervisor and GAB Commissioner Fritz Gaston and Sean Gibbons and Joe Ramos representing MP Promotions and Promoter Joven Jimenez.

Details of the press conference and undercard weights to follow. The fights will be free to the public and will be held Saturday September 3 at the Philippine Navy Gymnasium (Jurado Hall) of the Philippine Marine Corps in Baranggay Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Metro Manila.
