NIETES?SOSA FIGHT CARD PROMOTIONS: ONWARD TO SUCCESS, ONE SMALL STEP AT A TIME

Someone once said that if you are in the dark with just a small flashlight to light up your path provided you know where to go, it would be foolish to sit down and wait for the sun to rise.

?You don?t need to see the entire path. You only need to see the next few steps in front of you. You will see the next few feet down the path if you continue to step forward until you reach your destination.?

This is exactly what the crew from the ALA Promotions International is doing!

The young ladies headed by ALA PR person Chelna Locaylocay, know where they are heading.

They know their destination - that is to produce a fight card promotion bigger and better than the two previous ones they had done in California, one at the StubHub Center in Carson and another in San Mateo Civic Center Arena.

They are taking the route one small step at a time. Arranging ?Meet and Greet? with the ALA Boys in various Filipino establishments like the Seafood City Stores and small lunch meetings with reps from various media establishments in the Southland.

Today, they had another one of those ?small lunch meetings? in Glendale, CA at the famed Vegas Seafood Buffet. Oh, they did not have large media crowds that are usually seen when the old Manny Pacquiao does his thing. But the handful that came were enough to hit the goal for the day.

Representatives of FightNews.com, a widely read boxing website and the huge video site ES News, came to do an interviews with Donnie Nietes. So did a Filipino outfit called Balita Media, USA and of course the ever reliable PhilBoxing.com. Would you believe even the director of Entertainment and Industry Relations of the Salvation Army came?

On Sunday, the ALA Boys are again scheduled to be at the Seafood City Store at Carson and then at the Panorama City branch. They will be at Carson at about 2PM and then at Panorama City at 5:00 PM depending on the LA traffic situation.

The Nietes-Sosa fight promises to be a slam-bang affair. Nietes is coming up to the next higher division from Light flyweight to flyweight. It may only be a 4 pound climb but in boxing?s lighter divisions, that is a heck of a lot to cover in terms of power and speed.

But as Nietes stated today, ?climbing up to 112 is not really too much of a big deal as I normally walk around slightly heavier than that. This new division is better for me because now I do not need to struggle to lose more several pounds to make the 108 weight limit, the max I can weight in my previous division.?

And, he is certainly right. Today he enjoyed a good lunch, something that is a luxury when he used to fight as a light-flyweight.

And because he is eating right, he looks far better. Even the color of his skin is great indicating that he is well nourished and hydrated.

The Nietes-Sosa Fight will be at the StubHub Center on September 24, 2016. Also fighting in the undercard is fast-rising fighter, Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo and Arthur ?King? Villanueva.

Tickets will be released soon and they will be available in many Filipino establishments and online.
