
OMEGA?S ?WHO?S NEXT?: TWO TITLE FIGHTS ON JULY 30

CEBU CITY ? The ?WHO'S NEXT?? Pro Boxing Series EVENT 2 originally scheduled for July 10 has been moved to July 30. The fight card will feature WBO Youth Asia-Pacific super bantamweight champ Jhack Tepora (17W-0L,12KO?s) and WBF Asia-Pacific bantamweight titlist Kenny Demecillo (10-3-2,7KO?s).
OMEGA Pro Sports International (OPSI) President Pio Paulo Castillo stated in his message to philboxing that "We are moving the event on the 30th as we would want to present to the boxing fans the best possible boxing event we possibly can. We will be showcasing two championship bouts sanctioned by the World Boxing Organization and the World Boxing Federation and we will be announcing something special in the coming days as well."
The International Pharmaceuticals Incorporated's conglomerate also informed that the fight venue will still be the same, at the Robinsons Galleria Cebu Atrium.
Fast rising Jr. Flyweight Christian "The Bomb" Araneta will likewise be featured in a 10 round non-title bout against 36 fight veteran Charlie Cabilla of Valencia, Bukidnon.
"The complete fight card will be announced to the public in the coming days together with the opponent of Jhack Tepora." OPSI's VP for Promotions Chad Ca?ares advised through email. "We likewise will be making more exciting announcements in the coming weeks regarding the event that we feel would enliven the interest of boxing fans in the country. We at OPSI are inviting everyone to come and experience WHO'S NEXT? Pro Boxing Series EVENT 2 this July 30, 2016. This event, by the way, is free to the public."
The undefeated Tepora captured his WBO regional belt by 5th round knockout against Jason Tinampay last March 6.
Demecillo was a citation awardee during the 34th SAC-SMB Cebu Sports Awards last April because of his two victories against a highly regarded prospect from the Sanman Gym, Daryl Basadre, which earned him the WBA Oceania and WBF Asia-Pacific bantamweight titles.
