SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- As many of the Bay Area residents pack their bags for the July 4th holiday getaway, Filipino bantamweight contender 'Prince' Albert Pagara and his team quietly wind down their training here after more than two months of intense preparation that saw them buck Cebu's searing heat and relax and rejuvenate at LA's cool evening breezes ahead of Pagara's date with Mexican warrior Cesar Juarez this Saturday night (Sunday in morning Manila) at the San Mateo Event Center.

ALA Promotions second US offering, the 37th installment of the highly successful 'Pinoy Pride' series in partnership with Filipino TV network giant ABS-CBN/TFC will get into high gear a day after the celebrated 4th of July fireworks fronting the world famous Golden Gate Bridge when Juarez hits town Tuesday.

Juarez, together with Jason Pagara's Mexican opponent Abraham Alvarez, will have a luncheon with local media Wednesday at Celia's Mexican Restaurant in San Mateo ahead of the final press conference Thursday at the event pavillion at San Mateo Event Center starting at 11:00 a.m. where Pagara and Juarez will meet face to face for the first time.

The official weigh-in will be on Friday at Serramonte Mall in Daly City starting at 12:00 noon.

And finally, on Saturday, July 9, the gates at the San Mateo Event Center will open at 3:00 p.m. that ushers in 'Fists of the Future' with a pre-show at 4:30 before the fisticuffs open up to the public.

Before the Albert Pagara-Juarez / Jason Pagara-Alvarez double header, local pugilists will take center stage headed by popular Bay Area campaigner Ricardo Pinell of San Mateo who will take on Roberto Young of Phonix, Arizona.
