GOMEZ DOMINATES HERRERA TO WIN BY WIDE DECISION

LAS VEGAS -- Frankie Gomez (21-0-0, 13KO) of Los Angeles, CA, threw everything but the kitchen sink on Mauricio Herrera (25-6-0, 7KO) of Riverside, CA, who was cut up on both of his cheeks but Gomez could not put Herera away in their 10-round welterweight bout on the undercard of CANELO-KHAN at the T-Mobile Arena here Saturday night. Gomez won via wide unanimous decision with socres of 100-90, 100-90 and 100-90.
