LAS VEGAS -- Diego de la Hoya (15-0-0, 9KO) of Mexicali, MX lost a point for holding in 7th but went on to stop Rocco Santo Mauro (13-1-0, 1KO) of Duarte, CA at 1:59 of the same round to capture the WBC Youth super bantam title on the undercard of the CANELO-KHAN super fight at the T-Mobile Arena here Saturday night. Dela Hoya also dropped Rocco with a classic counter right hand in round 2.
In the 4th fight of the night on the undercard of the Canelo Alvarez vs Amir Khan superfight for 10-round super middleweight bout, Jason Quigley (11-0-0, 9KO) of Donegal, IRL beat James de la Rosa (23-4-0, 13KO) of Harlingen, TX via unanimous decision with scores of 100-92 in all of the three judges' scorecards.
