Hollywood, Ca. -- Today, at the Wildcard Gym in a press conference arranged by Oscar de la Hoya‘s Golden Boy Promtions, Team Philippines faced the Los Angeles media for the final time in the Southern California area.

A lot of well-heeled media outlet representatives were there to ask questions and take photos and video as the team members went on their routine with the punch mitts, the speed bags and the rest of the equipment at the gym. Of course, heading the pack were those from ABS-CBN network, the leading Philippine TV network.

Present to proudly introduce the team members to the media was no other than the Golden Boy Promotions Senior Vice President himself, Mr. Eric Gomez and Mr. Michael Aldeguer of the ALA Gym in Cebu.

Mr. Gomez brought the World Cup Trophy to show it off to the media. The trophy stays with the country that wins three consecutive meets with other countries. So far Mexico holds one victory, that over Thailand. The Mexican team will attempt to get their second win when they battle the Team Philippines in what promises to be a slam-bang affair given the fact that there is a lot of national pride at stake.

Team Philippines will break camp this week-end and fly to Sacramento, California on Monday.
