
MAGSAYO, PAGARA SM CITY CEBU WORKOUT (PHOTOS)

CEBU CITY ? In a continuing effort to promote the highly anticipated Nonito Donare Jr- Zsolt Bedak headlined April 23 card at the Cebu City Sports Center, undercard fighters Mark 'Magnifico' Magsayo and Jason 'El Ni?o Pagara held a public workout Friday afternoon at the SM City Cebu.
Magsayo and Pagara had back breaking workout routines for more than an hour that included plyometric exercises on the plyometric ball, cone drill, footwork drill, plyometric jump, medicine ball as well as skipping rope, noodle punching, shadow boxing and punch mitts in front of a sizable and highly appreciative early evening crowd at the popular mall.
?The exercises were doing is to make the whole body strong and agile,? ALA trainer Edmund Villamor told Phiboxing.
The undefeated Magsayo (13-0, 10KO) will face former world title challenger Chris Avalos of the United States for the WBO international featherweight title in what will be Magsayo's toughest fight to date while Pagara who is rated the number junior welterweight by the WBO, will take on Miguel Zumodio of Mexico in a 10-round junior welterweight bout.
Jointly promoted by Top-Rank and ALA Promotions in partnership with ABS-CBN Sports, the event dubbed as 'The Time Has Come: Donaire vs Bedak' will also feature on the main undercard the WBC Continental America super featherweight championship between Paul '2-Gunz' Fleming of Australia vs Miguel Angel Gonzalez of Mexico.
Also on the card are knockout sensation Jeo Santisima who takes on Tabthong Tor Buamas of Indonesia and two-time world title challenger Rocky Fuetes who will face compatriot Romnick Magos.
According to ALA Promotions Director for Operations Jeana Alvarez, the tickets, which went on sale last April 4, are selling briskly and come fight night the 30,000 capacity Cebu Sports Center is expected to be filled up highly passionate boxing fans.
