HUGO RUIZ DESTROYS JULIO CEJA IN 1

ANAHEIM, CA -- Hugo Ruiz (35-3-0, 31KO) threw a right straight that landed flush to the chin of ex-champ Julio Ceja (30-4-0, 27KO) and drops him in the very first round at the Honda Center here Saturday night. Ceja took the 8th count but hurt his leg. When the fight resumed Ruiz rained multiple unanswered punches leading the referee to stop the fight at 51 seconds of the round. Ceja had to be taken out on a stretcher due to the leg injury.
Ruiz snatched the WBC super bantamweight title form Ceja.
