Undefeated Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista is currently working extra hard on improving his defense in preparation for his August 11 title challenge on WBO superbantam king Daniel Ponce De Leon.

De Leon versus Bautista will be the main event to the 'World Cup of Boxing' set at the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California.

"Eric Brown, an assistant to Freddie Roach at Wild Card, has been brushing up on Boom Boom's defense and it's now really a beauty to behold," said a source, adding that Filipino trainers Edmund Villamor and Jeremiah Quijano are always ready to assist.

"Ninja Batawang really hits so hard. It's only now i've noticed how strong he is. AJ Banal meanwhile is very quick. And his stamina is awesome," added the source.

This morning, all the ALA Boys ran at the Griffith Park supervised by Villamor and Quijano.

Then at around 1130AM, the group reported to Wild Card Gym where Boom Boom hit the mitts with Villamor holding, did the speed ball, shadow-boxed, hit the big bags and did a series of abdominal exercises together with the other ALA Boys.

After their workout, the group then proceeded to 3rd and Vermont, and visited their favorite hangout, the 3C Wireless where they can get an internet connection courtesy of Charm, Faye and the rest of the crew.
