Television giant ABS-CBN and the local counterparts of Golden Boy Promotions led by the ALA/SGG Group today inked a deal that would give the 'Kapamilya' network exclusive rights to telecast the August 11 'World Cup' of boxing live from the Arco Arena in Sacramento, California.

The deal was finalized today after both camps signed the paperworks for the coverage, with ABS top honcho Gabby Lopez and vice-president for sports Peter Musngi representing the broadcast giant. Also present were ALA Gym manager Michael Aldeguer and Sammy Gello-ani signing the dotted lines.

The 'World Cup' features two world title bouts featuring Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista against WBO superbantam boss Daniel Ponce De Leon and Gerry Penalosa challenging WBO bantam ruler Jhonny Gonzales.

Two IBF eliminator match-ups pit Z 'The Dream' Gorres against Gerson Guerrero and Bert Batawang versus Francisco Rosas.

Also seeing action are AJ Banal, Michael Domingo and Diosdado Gabi.
