GEN. SANTOS CITY - John Vincent ?Mulawin? Moralde outmaneuvered Anthony Sabalde in a tense bruising tactical battle to win by unanimous decision in the main event of Brawl at the Mall: Glory.

The boxers were tentative in the early going until Sabalde opened up in the third, applying more pressure and pinning Moralde against the ropes. Moralde shifted his attack to the body in the fourth but was staggered by a quick left from the southpaw Sabalde.

Moralde adjusted and employed a stick and move routine in the fifth and caught Sabalde on several occasions. In the sixth, Moralde got his timing and caught Sablde coming in with his right lead.

Moralde also effectively clinched when Sabalde got too close for comfort. In the seventh, a hematoma around the right eye of Sabalde became more prominent and Moralde landed at will.

For the main supporting bout, Romero Duno of the Sanman Gym beat Jason Egera by TKO before the start of the 8th round for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super featherweight title.

Duno dropped Egera in the opening round but Egera stormed back with a flurry before the round ended. In the 2nd round, a solid right to the face sent the southpaw Egera down again.

But Egera proved resilient and continued to bring the fight to Duno.

But at the end of the sixth, a counter right sent Egera down again. After the seventh round ended, Egera signaled that he felt pain on his left elbow and that he did not want to continue awarding Duno the victory. He also remains undefeated at 9-0,8KO?s.

Ronie Tanallon (Sanman Gym) prevailed by unanimous verdict over Rodel Tejares for the PBF minimumweight belt in a hard fought ten rounder.
