The Omega gym of Cebu has produced one world champion and a couple of regional titlists. But only the hardcore boxing fans can recall their names.
Johnriel Casimero is now an ex-champion. The other titlists from Omega are rebuilding their careers. For a company based in the boxing capital of the Philippines, they have been relatively silent for the past months.
That will soon change.
Last Friday, OMEGA Pro Sports International Corporation launched the ?Who?s next? Pro-boxing series?, programmed to showcase their new talent and reintroduce to the boxing public the quality boxers that they already have.

Omega Sports International president Pio Paulo Castillo spoke during the press conference held at the new Robinson's Galleria and talked about the planned changes their company is undertaking this year, to help raise Omega boxing to a new level.
Chad Ca?ares, who used to be with the successful ALA Promotions, and the incumbent Vice Mayor of Bantanyan, Cebu, was hired as the vice president of Omega Pro Sports International.
Undefeated prospect Jack Tepora (16-0,11KO?s) will be their flagship for their six part fight series for 2016. The 22 year old Tepora is penned for a shot at the BWO Youth Asia-Pacific super bantamweight belt. He will headline their initial offering on March 6.
Another new name is Kenny Demecillo , who recently won WBA Oceania and WBF regional titles.
Omega Pro Sports also hired Dr. Rhoel Dejano, who talked about a more scientific way of weight cutting as one of his projects for their team aside from handling fight conditioning and injuries.
The boxing arm of International Pharmaceuticals,Inc (IPI) will continue with their amateur contests and provincial sorties but expect them to be more visible in the Philippine boxing scene.
