
LEAGUE OF FISTS WRAPS UP FIFTH ROUND

SHANGHAI, CHINA ? The League of Fists boxing tournament ended the month of January with a bang ? nineteen straight four round bouts held at the Oriental Sports Center.
The protagonists ranged from featherweight to super middleweight. The League fights started at ten in the morning last Saturday and lasted for six hours. This served as the appetizer for the anticipated evening show billed as ?The Return of the King? which saw Zou Shiming stop Natan Santana in eight rounds.
Zhen Jun Fa started the fireworks with a unanimous decision win over Song Shuguang.
(Scores of 40-36 from Edward Ligas, Yan Wenyong and Feng Yaocheng)
Li Jin Wei beat Ning Xinbo by majority decision.
(Scores ? Edward Ligas (40-36) and Zhao Yubin (39-37), Tao Zhendong (38-38))
Li Huiqing won by TKO in the fourth round against Dilimulati, who was on wobbly legs when Referee Han Hongxiang halted the bout at the 0:51 mark.
Shang Zijie prevailed over Xu Qingzhen by unanimous decision.
(Edward Ligas and Yang Hong had it 40-36, Feng Yaocheng 39-37)
Wang Yingang beat Jiao Daijian also by unanimous verdict.
(Zhu Yuwen and Zhao Yubin ? 40-36, Jia Yanan ? 39-37)
Huang Kai won by majority decision over Zhu Yijun.
(Han Hongxiang and Yang Hong ? 40-36, Pu Qiang ? 38-38)
Yang Xiaolong and Abudureyimu fought to a majority draw.
(Samson Iu and Mekin Sumon ? 38-38, Edward Ligas ? 39-37)
Cheng Bingbing prevailed by unanimous decision over Gao Yiping.
(38-36 from Salven Lagumbay, Zhu Yuwen and Wang Lin)
Liu Yang also won by unanimous decision over Zhang Chengbo.
(Jia Yanan and Edward Ligas ? 39-37, Pu Qiang ? 40-36)
Yesibolesen beat Wen Jiabao by first round TKO. Referee Danrex Tapdasan stopped it when Wen stood up on unsteady legs. Time ? 1:21.
Tan Jiao Cai stopped Chen Xiaolong in the opening round. Referee Wang Lin stopped it at the 1:21 mark.
Qiao Yu won by unanimous decision over Yang Yinyu.
(39-37 from Edward Ligas, Tao Zhendong and Zao Yubin)
Zheng Wenhao beat Wu Minghui by TKO in round two. Wu was down in rounds one and two prompting referee Han Hongxiang to stop it at the eight second mark.
Alimu Wushoer won by TKO over Zhang Jinsheng who did not answer the bell at the strat of round four. He also complained of a shoulder injury.
Yilixiati Ainiwaer sent Kuluwanjiang down twice in the opening round prompting Referee Surat Soikrachang to call a halt at 1:58.
Xu Que won handily against Cai Xiang; scores of 40-36 from Samson Iu,Edward Ligas and Mekin Sumon.
Bilali won by TKO in the fourth against Abudusong. Referee Samson Iu stopped it due to accumulation of hard punches.
Liu Zhong upset Mai Jintian by unanimous decision. This was Mai?s first loss in the league.
(Scores ? 40-36 from Edward Ligas, Pu Qiang and Jia Yanan)
Jin Yangcheng survived a knockdown in the second round to upset power puncher Abulimiti by split decision.
(Judges scores ? Sawaeng Thaweekoon and Wang Lin ? 38-37 for Jin, Surat Soikrachang ? 39-36 for Abulmiti)
The bouts were officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission (PBC), International. The League of Fists started last September 2015 and is promoted by Seca and Top Rank. The tournament will return in March.
