
LEAGUE OF FISTS ENTERS FIFTH ROUND

SHANGHAI, CHINA ? The League of Fists tournament had its first offering for 2016 with ten bouts ranging from bantamweight to super welterweight divisions.
Yelieqiati opened the festivities with a fiery display of his handspeed and won handily against Nuertai. This is Yelieqiati Nihemaituola?s sixth career win and his fourth in the tournament with a draw and no loss.
(Scores- Cao Hengxiang and Salven Lagumbay ? 40-36, Feng Yaocheng ? 39-37)
Weng Tao beat Li Weifang also by unanimous decision.
(Scores ? Sungworn Klungboonkrong 39-37, Tao Zhendong and Zhao Yubin ? 40-36)
Zhang Feng bloodied Ma Qiang?s nose in the third round and won by 40-36 on the scores of Atty.Danrex Tapdasan, Cao Hengxiang and Tao Zhendong.
Aizi Aili also got a unanimous verdict against Ye Rongcheng.
(39-37 for all three judges Salven Lagumbay, Yang Hong, and Feng Yaocheng)
Su Cheng bombarded Lu Ganran with heavy punches after the opening bell. Lu survived the round but his cornermen signaled to Referee Atty.Danrex Tapdasan that Lu will not answer the bell for the second round.
Cheng is now 5-0,4KO?s.
Mengketuogesi won by unanimous decision over Huang Tianpei.
(Scores ? 39-37 for judges Zhao Yubin, Tao Zhendong, and Yang Hong)
Li Hongxin also prevailed over Zhang Zheng by unanimous decision.
(Han Hongxiang ? 40-36, Salven Lagumbay and Mekin Sumon ? 39-37)
Alimu Tuerson easli won over Nan Ding.
(Han Hongxiang, Salven Lagumbay and Zhu Yuwen - 40-36)
Li Leshan fired hard left hooks to the ribs to deck Feng Yongle in the second round. Feng grimaced in pain unable to stand prompting Referee Han Hongxiang to stop the fight at 2:32 of the second round.
In the final bout of the night, Xie Zhiquan beat Peng Chao by unanimous decision.
(Scores ? Zhu Yuwen ? 40-36, Salven Lagumbay and Mekin Sumon ? 39-37)
The second of the back to back weekend card will still be held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena Mixing Room on Saturday January 9.
The League of Fists is promoted by SECA and TOP RANK and officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission (PBC) of China. The eventual winner will be crowned as the WBO Greater China champion in their respective weight divisions.
