Undefeated Filipino prospect Markquil Salavana (9-0-0, 3KO) of General Santos City will headline a Peter Maniatis card against equally undefeated Australian Jason Moloney (4-0-0, 4KO) for the WBA Oceana super bantamweight title to be held at the Town Hall in Malvern, Victoria, Australia on Dec. 18.
The Salvana-Moloney fight was originally penciled on the undercard of the Danny Green vs Konni Konrad cruiserweight battle scheduled for Dec 2 in Melbourne but was canceled due to Green's back injury.
?l have taken over the undercard and promoting the event at Malvern Town Hall on 18th December,? Maniatis has informed Philboxing. "Salvana is undefeated at 9 and 0 and I am told is a very talented boxer from General Santos so his fight with Jason Moloney who is also undefeated at 4 and 0 will be worthy of the main event," Maniatis added.
Salvana, one of the rising prospects of Sanman Boxing Gym owned by young Filipino promoter JC Mananquil, last fought on September 26 in General Santos stopping wily veteran Philip Parcon in the 6th round while Moloney won all his 4 professional fights inside the distance, the last one against Filipino Danilo Gabisay on Aug. 19 in Melbourne where Moloney came back from a second round knockdown to stop Gabisay in the 5th round of their 6-round scheduled super bantamweight fight.
Another Filipino, Roberto Lerio (16-22-1, 6KO) who now resides in Syndey, will be on the card and will go up against undefeated bantamweight Andrew Moloney (4-0-0, 2KO), the twin brother of Jason Moloney.
"The fight with Lerio and Moloney will be very interesting. It's youth vs experience and Lerio is a very tough experienced boxer who always comes to fight," Maniatis said. ?The Moloney twins want to step here that's why they are both testing themselves over with good opponents in only there 5th professional fights," Maniatis added.
The rest of the card will see both undefeated boxers Jayde Mitchell and Ryan Breese fighting for a WBA super middleweight regional title and also a stacked undercard with 2 Victorian titles to start the fight night on December 18th.
