LAPULAPU CITY ? The ALA fighters who are featured on 'Pinoy Pride 34 ? Back with a Vengeance' card two weeks from now appeared ready to go after they showed speed and sharpness during the public sparring held at the ALA Boxing Gym Pueblo Verde branch Saturday afternoon.

Two-time world title challenger Milan 'El Metodico' Melindo (32-2-0, 12KO), who will fight on the main event against Carlos 'Divino' Fontes (23-3-0, 17KO) of Mexico, inflicted a cut on the nose of his sparring partner Chris Ganoza after he threw a well-timed left hook counter that hit squarely on Ganoza's face. ALA Gym chief trainer Edito Villamor, after wiping the blood on Ganoza's nose, advised Melindo to just throw punches to the body of Ganoza. The upstart but undefeated Ganoza from Matalom, Leyte (6-0-0, 1KO) will also see action against Roga Libres on the Nov. 28 card at the Hoops Dome in Lapulapu City.

Arthur Villanueva (R) connects with a right against Gerald Suico during their sparring at the ALA Gym Pueblo Verde in Lapulapu City Saturday afternoon.

King Arthur Villanueva, who is still sore about his controversial loss against McJoe Arroyo of Puerto Rico for the vacant IBF super flyweight world title last July 18, seemed to unleash his rage against his hapless sparring partner Gerald Suico who was the recipient of powerful crosses and uppercuts from Villanueva that hit their mark. Villanueva (27-1-0, 14KO) will take on Victor 'Spock' Mendez (19-2-2, 15KO) of Mexico for the WBC international super flyweight title.

The comebacking Fuentes (35-8-2, 20KO) will take on Afrizal Tamboresi (11-3-0, 6KO) of Indonesia on the Nov. 28 card.
