The local LA media finally got to get a glimpse of WBO junior flyweight World Champion early Saturday afternoon. Nietes conducted a media work out for the press at the Fortune Gym along Sunset Blvd in Hollywood.

The work out was preceded by a ?meet and greet in popular Filipino areas in cities of Carson and Cerritos. Nietes and the Pagara brothers, Albert and Jason and Mark Magsayo were there to meet their fans.

Although only a modest crowd was present, the event was a great start for a budding promotions and it was enough to inspire the Filipino fighters from ALA Gym to continue their quest for recognition in the USA.

After the workout, the boys accompanied by their trainers Edito and Edmond Villamor and three ladies from ALA International were driven to the StubHub Center, the same venue where the ALA boys will fight on October 17th. They were invited as guest of the promoters of the Matthysee vs Postol to watch the title fight between Argentina?s Lucas Matthysee and Ukraine?s Viktor Postol which ended in a 10th round KO for Postol.
