CEBU CITY ? The inmates (photo) of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) will be treated once again to a night of professional boxing action this Sunday. The main event is a ten rounder between former WBO Asia-Pacific Youth titlist Magos R. Singwangcha (Romnick Magos) and Ryan Tampus.

Three years ago, Magos (11-5,7KO?s) scored the biggest win of his career when he got off the canvas in the opening round to stop the erstwhile unbeaten Aston Palicte in four rounds. Magos would go on to win in Japan against Kohei Kubo but his momentum was stopped when he suffered back to back losses in Thailand against Pungluang Sor Singyu and Chatpetch Sithmorseng.

Tampus (11-15,8KO?s) on the other hand has been on the losing end of fights since he scored a big TKO win against a previously undefeated Eduard Penerio in 2011.

The CPDRC of Baranggay Kalunasan, Cebu City is the home base of the world famous dancing inmates. Last May, they hosted a fight card billed as ?Champions of the Future?. An estimated 3,000 plus boxing fans also trooped to the event.

For the undercards, Joaquino E. Singwangcha (Elias Joaquino) will be pitted in an eight rounder against Jonathan Ricablanca, Junriel Jimenez will face Jimboy Sabado ? 6 rounds, Jeffrey Stella vs Rey Millano ? 4 rounds, Rimon Rama vs Erbert Donato ? 4 rounds, Mark Rotilles vs Jenebal Peregrino ? 4 rounds. Fans will also get to see amateur contests between the CPDRC SUPERMAX BOXING TEAM and the PHIL-AUST BOXING CLUB.

This event is made possible thru the efforts of Mr. Marco Toral and sponsors Kumander Jun Noel, bc 45, Lito Granada, Arman Tipontipon,Victor Diolan and Robert Emeterio, together with Wakee Salud and Naris Singwangcha Promotions. Fights start at 7PM.
