VALDEZ SURVIVES 1ST ROUND KNOCKDOWN TO DOMINATE TAMAYO IN 10

STUBHUB CENTER, CARSON, CA -- Ex Olympian Oscar Valdez of Nogales, MX (17-0-0, 14KO) kept his record immaculate via a clean UD over Ruben Tamayo of Ciudad Obregon, MX. Tamayo dropped Valdez early in round 1 but could not sustain the attack any further allowing Valdez to catch up in points and eventually passed him in the last 4 rounds. To make matters worse Tamayo was deducted a point in round 7 by referee Rey Corona for low blows. Scores were 98-90, 98-90, and 99-90.

Leonardo Chavez of Los Angeles (4-1-0, 3KO) wins via a unanimous decision over Jair Quintero of Culiacan, MX 4-4-2,0KO Scores were all 58-56. Chavez was downed in round 3 that was ruled a push by the referee.
