CARSON, CA -- In the third fight of the Bradley-Vargas undercard at the StubHub Center Saturday tonight, Toka Khan Clary of Rhode Island (16-0-1, 9KO) wins via KO over Jonathan Perez of Baranquilla, Columbia (33-12-0, 27KO). Clary dominated an otherwise lazy fight occasionally punctuated by his long straight rights ala Tommy Hearns until he scored with a left hook that dropped Perez at the last second of round. Time 2:59 of Round 6. (top photo)
Second fight: Abraham Lopez of Roland Hts, CA (1-1-0, 0KO) won via a one sided UD over Joann Valenzuela of Tijuana, MX (1-4-1,1KO) Scores were all 40-36.
First fight: Ed Brown (6-0-0, 6KO) of Chigao, Ill. draws first blood with a curtain raiser win over Jose Maruffo of Phoenix, Az 7-3-2,0KO). Maruffo was dropped in round 2 after largely winning round 1 by his effective aggression. However, Maruffo was not the same after he was dropped and was later caught on the ropes unable to answer the barrage from Brown and the referee stepped in and waved off the fight. Time 1:48 rd 2.
