Bob Arum relaxes at the holding area of Vancouver Airport in Canada on the way to RP.

VANCOUVER, CANADA--Legendary fight promoter Bob Arum is well on his way to General Santos City in the Philippines to fulfill a commitment to help out Manny Pacquiao in his campaign sorties.

Pacquiao is running for Congress against the incumbent Darlene Antonino-Custodio in what is shaping up to be the most awaited congressional battle in recent Philippine history.

"I am here to do what I promised. I am here for Manny no matter what," Arum told Philboxing.com during a stopover here from Las Vegas on the way to Manila.

Asked as to Manny Pacquiao's possible future opponents, Arum said the Filipino icon might be seeing action again sometime in October or November, and names such as Joan Guzman, Humberto Soto and Marco Antonio Barrera are big possibilities.

"If Manny wins the elections, that will make him a very, very unique individual, and that would open a lot of possibilities for him," said Arum.

More to come...
