RESULTS FROM FIST FIGHT IN BEIJING

BEIJING ? The Capital Arena hosted two boxing cards last Friday ? FIST FIGHT and FIST OF POWER III. The former, which was held first in the afternoon, had nine pairs of four rounders while the third edition of Fist of Power saw Randy Petalcorin of the Philippines retain his WBA interim light flyweight belt vs Ma Yi Ming of China by first round TKO (see separate story).

FIST FIGHT served as an enjoyable showcase of the up and coming boxing talent here in China who may get the chance to fight on future boxing promotions of SECA and Top Rank.

In the afternoon?s opening bout, Alimu Wushouer beat Yang Xiao Long by TKO in the second round. Yang was knocked down in the opening round and his left eye was closed by a hematoma inflicted by a punch in the second prompting Referee Sawaeng Thaweekoon to stop the bout.

Tan Zheng won by TKO in the fourth round against Ye Bao Fei, Referee Surat Soikrachang stopped it in the final round after Ye was knocked down and visibly hurt.

Dilixiati won by third round TKO against Lin Beng He. Referee Tony Pesons stopped it when Lin was knocked down and stood up on unsteady legs.

Niu Zhong Jie beat Yu Chang Tian by unanimous decision, Cai Jun Cheng won by unanimous decision over Zhang Yi Feng, Wang Yin Gang won a majority decision over Su Shi Long, Su Cheng beat Lin Jing Huang by second round TKO, referee Atty.Danrex Tapdasan halted the bout as Lin was pinned on the ropes receiving punches.

Zhang Qi Xiu beat Halimubieke by majority decision and Chen Sen won by split decision over Ji Tao.
