StubHub Center, Carson, CA -- The 8th fight was for the WBA Interim Super bantamweigth title and was a contest between Oscar Escandon of Tolima CO (24-2-0, 16KO) and Moises Flores of Guadalajara. MX ( 23-0, 16KO) (top photo). It goes without saying that the crowd was leaning towards Flores. But they were hard pressed to cheer for their man as the fight did not turn out to be something that excited the crowd. In fact, from our vantage point up the press box we see most of the crowd in the beer line rather than watching the fight from their seats.
Just about the only exciting part of the fight was the last 20 seconds when the two gladiators decided to exchange with regards to defense. In the end, the fight ended as a split decision for Moises Flores.

7th Fight: It could have been a fight simply to perpetuate the Chavez name. But in reality, Omar Chavez' of Culiacan. MX (33-3-1, 22KO) win today was not that impressive. In fact, even the predominantly Latino crowd booed, albeit not much when the fight result was announced. Chavez beat Richard Gutierrez of Arjona Colorado (28-16-1 (17KO) by a surprising UD. Scores: 78-74,77-75,77-75.
