Downtown Los Angeles:- Golden Boy Promotions and its partners, Fox Sports and Corona Beer held their regular monthly fight card at this old refurbished theater turned into an entertainment center early tonight. The event dubbed as LA Fight Club is the replacement for the old GBP events held at the Nokia Theater in the past years.

The event owing to the close proximity of the crowd to the ring was loud and the fans had a great time watching the fights and being entertained by showbiz personality, Tatoo who was handing souvenirs to the crowd.

The fights begun with a bang! Melsik Baghdasaryan, (1-0-0,1KO) an Armenian-American out of Glendale, California had a successful debut stopping a tough as nails journeyman from Mexico City, Mario Angeles (1-7-2,0KO). The referee stopped the fight at 2:10 of round 3 owing to repeated solid hits Baghdasaryan landed without return fire from the Mexican.

In the first fight on TV, Everton Lopes (2-0-0,1KO) of Salvador, Brazil scored a first round KO over Robert Seyam of Wichita, Kansas. (2-3-0, 2KO) Lopes landed a powerful body shot during a torrid exchange dropping Seyam to his knees from which he never recovered and was counted out.
