Rommel 'Little Assasin' Asenjo of the Philippines lost by 3rd round TKO over WBO and WBA flyweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada of Mexico at the Poliforum Zamna in Merida, Yucat?n, Mexico Saturday night (Sunday in Manila) to allow Estrada to retain his belts.

According to ringside reports, Asenjo (26-4-0, 20KO) from Pigkawayan, Cotabato, came out smoking in the first round but the bigger and veteran Estrada (32-2-0, 23KO) imposed his will in the second round and battered the pint size Asenjo until Asenjo's corner threw in the towel in the third round.

Estrada continues to have his way against his Filipino opponents. He won his current belts from Brian Viloria on April 6, 2013 and defended it successfully against Filipinos Milan Melindo, Richie Mepranum and Joebert Alvarez before Saturday's carnage over Asenjo.

Estrada's last loss was against pound for pound fighter Roman Gonzalez of Nicaragua on Nov. 17, 2012.
