TIME TO GET READY FOR SEPTEMBER NOW THAT MAY 2ND IS SET

I am one guy who loves to plan ahead. That?s just me and besides that?s how I was trained in my profession. That is why now that May 2nd has been set, and Pacquiao just got into town to initiate training, and Mayweather giving marching orders to his team to prepare for battle, I am already making plans for September.
The Pacquiao-Mayweather battle will come and go. People involved including the leaches that cling to both fighters will make tons of cash. It is what it is - ?The nature of the beast?, so they say.
It really does not matter who takes fight No. 1. I am sure those involved in the 6 years of negotiations did not simply bang heads that long to make just one fight. These guys are business people. They are out there to make tons of money for the fighters, themselves and every single John and Jane Doe that has the tiniest involvement in the evolution of the event.
Regardless of the result of fight No. 1, a fight or two will happen thereafter, the absence of a re-match clause notwithstanding.
Other fighters who are lurking around the corner salivating about the possible loot they can get from fighting Mayweather stand no chance. Guys like Amir Khan and Miguel Cotto who are now fast getting to the tail end of their careers and are now focused on fighting for their retirement funds, have to wait at least a year or two past 2015. But by then, TBE cherry picker will be on retirement himself and contents himself just spending countless hours deciding which amongst his sports car he will take for a spin on any given day.
Most folks, or at least the gambling gurus that sets the fight odds say that Mayweather will win the fight. That may not be too hard to understand given the nature of boxing in Las Vegas. Remember, FMJ brings tons of cash to the sin city and that is hard to simply let go.
But Mayweather is not going to win big over Pacquiao. The best he probably can do is winning by a majority decision mostly because of his fighting style. He will run and stick, and will run some more soon as he gets tagged the first time by the vicious hooks from Pacquiao.
Don?t anyone believe even just for a moment what FMJ Sr. says about ?whooping the ass of Pacquiao?. That simply is not happening! Besides, Senior is just full if it and he is not worth listening to.
Therefore, with a close win for FMJ , the gods of boxing who were instrumental in putting the fight together will invariably say:- ?it?s too close to call, so let?s have another one to see who really won?. ( Read: let?s make more money, guys? ) That?s were September comes into play.
But if they do it again in September, the results will be fairly the same. It will be a close fight. ?Styles make fights? they say and the styles of FMJ and MP are made for each other. Neither one will overwhelm each other. It will always be a close fight particularly now that they are almost beyond the threshold of their careers.
On the other hand, if Pacquiao wins by a KO as some in the Pacman camp are saying, the gurus will say ?it was a lucky punch?. So, they will arrange for another fight.
September, remember?
If Pacquiao wins by a decision, which if it happens will also be invariably close, the same gurus will also say - ?No clean winner, let?s do it again?
It is easy to understand how easy they can do it the second time around, regardless of who wins.
There are plenty of people who will believe the gurus. Thus, they will still be plenty of folks willing to part with their hard earned dollars to see a reprise of the fight, $1000 for the cheapest seat at the nose-bleed section be damn!
Oh, the good seat will still sell at $5000 or above. The celebrities will also come because to them the money they will pay for the tickets is worth the exposure they can get even just for a split second time at the big screen and world wide TV.
And the media particularly, bloggers and boxing websites?
They will absolutely love it!
The ?hits? they can generate for their sites will still be an insane in volume much like what they got for the first fight. In fact, it may even be more considering that now more folks will be getting involved and offer their 2 cents worth.
So there you go folks. Just as I mentioned, May 2 is only 8 weeks and a day away.
