I just got off the phone with Edito ALA Villamor, who together with Rey ?Boom Boom? Bautista and AJ ?Bazooka? Banal are in Puerto Rico training with the famed world champion, Oscar ?Golden Boy? de la Hoya.

According to Villamor, the two ALA boys are doing very well in their training. The boys at this point and time are still a bit over their fighting weight but Villamor assured me that weight is ?not going to be a problem, we still have two weeks to go.?

The boys, he said are ?a little bit homesick? since there is nothing much to do except train, go to the grocery, cook, do the laundry and hang out at the room. But, he said they are good and are taking everything in stride.

?One thing for sure, they are focused on their game as they know the importance of what they have do to achieve their goals? Villamor said.

Please tell everyone that the Golden Boy people, particularly Oscar are very good to us. ?They treat us a family and that makes a lot of difference to the moral of the boys.?

?The boys are also learning a lot just by watching de la Hoya. He trains like he is as young as the two boys, so his work ethic rubs off to them. Now the boys are more aware what it takes to be a world champion and more important how to stay at the top,? he added.

Villamor and the ALA Boys are arriving in Las Vegas on the 29th of April to participate in the week long media hoopla preceding the big fight at the MGM Hotel Events Center.
