BATTLE TO WIN HEARTS: PAC-FLOYD VALENTINE

Boxing is in limbo, or in hiatus.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has something great to prove, but he seems to be proving the opposite. His video clip that shows him telling Pacquiao ?we have to make this fight happen,? says a lot about his continuing intent to avoid Pacquiao rather than what he purposes to portray to the public. In light of that, Floyd has to sign the contract soonest or he will be compelled to take a vacation.

Manny Pacquiao starts to train for his next bout. All is set for him and his team to get the ball rolling for the fight of the century. But Michael Koncz and Bob Arum shouldn?t make the mistake of pitting Pacquiao with another opponent out of impatience or disgust awaiting the unbeaten boxer?s ?announcement,? lest they sway the pendulum back to Mayweather.

The sport should speak as one to force the issue because the sport will never be on track unless the Mega Bout happens first or unless justice is done if it doesn?t happen regardless of the other great fights looming on the horizon. You do a big disservice to the sport if you push for other plans ahead of Pacquiao and Mayweather fighting each other.

Every Tom, Dick, Juan and Pepe is holding his breath as both camps keep their ?Plan B? close to their hearts while in the negotiating table, oddly. Hence they wear divided minds talking to each other; likely ?unaware? of the fact that any plan prior to and outside of the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is a plan to fail.
The on-going negotiations have no other direction to go but forward and fast forward until the deal is wholly finalized ASAP. Otherwise, they?re dangerously into ?Hunger Games.? The fans are crossing their fingers and they are watchful of every move in the game they play.

Instead of having ?good times? just spoofing each other and wasting their life, why not set a rendezvous this Valentine?s Day to make the final announcement of the Good News? It?s that simple.

Be happy.
