Former IBF light flyweight champion John Riel ?Cuadro Alas? Casimero (R) of the Philippines weighed in at 112 lbs while his Mexican opponent Armando ?Cobra? Santos was at 111.5 lbs for their IBF flyweight eliminator set at the Salon Las Palmas in Monterey, Mexico on Saturday, December 13 (Sunday Philippine Time).

Promoter Sammy Gello-ani, who is accompanying Casimero with trainer Jun Agrabio, informed philboxing of the results of the official weigh-in held at Mission Express Hotel, Apodaca, Nuevo Leon.

Gello-ani also informed that Casimero's American Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz arrived in today's weigh in and said "He is happy that Casimero is back and seriously taking this fight as his way of getting a title again in the flyweight division."

After the weigh-in Casimero took his first heavy meal after 3 days of only light meals. ?We ate at the Chinese Restaurant.? Gello-ani said. ?Tomorrow (day of the fight) we will be having another weigh-in under the IBF Rules and he has to weigh not more than 55.3 kgs. or not more than 10 lbs. over 112 lbs.?

A world title shot awaits the winner. Casimero is moving up in weight after he lost his IBF world title because he was five pounds over the light flyweight limit seven months ago in Cebu City.

In the co-main event, former Manny Pacquiao opponent Hector Velazquez (56-23-3, 38KO) of Tijuana came in at 136.6 lbs who will go up against Roberto Manzanarez (28-1-0, 23KO) of Los Mochis who weighed in at 136.6 lbs for their 10-round super lightweight bout.
