Twins Jake and Jade Bornea, both former members of the Philippine national amateur boxing team and natives of Arakan town in North Cotabato, will see action in a free boxing event Dec. 6 in M'lang, North Cotabato.

Mayor Lito Pinol who sponsors the boxing event supported by Sonshine Sports Management of Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy and the twins' Japan-based uncle, Junjun Amoy, said the appearance of the Borneas in the M'lang boxing event will be the second time in the history of Philippine when twins will be featured in one card.

The boxing card which will be covered by Sonshine Sports TVand sponsored by Pepsi Cola Philippines is aptly titled "Double Trouble."

Jake and Jade Bornea, both flyweights, fought in the same card in September this year in the second staging of the Boxing Revolution, a project of Sonshine Sports Management, in Davao City.

Jake won by unanimous decision while Jade scored a knockout in his first professional fight.

While there are fighting twins in world boxing, this is the first time in the history of Philippine when identical twins are involved in professional boxing.

Also seeing action in the Dec. 6 boxing card in M'lang are: Lorenzo Villanueva of Midsayap, Rolando Magbanua of Pigcawayan, Roskie Cristobal of President Roxas, Jilbert Gomera of Gen. Santos City and Manobo fighter Michael Bravo of Kidapawan City.

The event is a joint undertaking of Sonshine Sports Management, Amoy Boxing of Gen. Santos City and the local government of M'lang.
