
CUELLO TO FIGHT AGAIN NOV 30

Former world title challenger Denver ?The Excitement? Cuello will see action again this November 30 in Angono,Rizal. Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing that Cuello will face Sammy Hagler of Indonesia in a ten rounder.
Cuello made a successful return last October after being away for more than a year when he had surgery on his injured shoulder. He stopped Jaipetch Chaiyonggym in seven rounds in a fight held in Davao City.
Cuello came up short in his attempt to wrest the WBC strawweight world title from then champion Xiong Zhao Zhong of China last June 28,2013 in Dubai. Denver suffered the injury during the bout and lost by majority decision.
Hagler, who was born Samuel Tehuayo, lost in his recent attempt to the win a regional PABA title. Their fight is set at the Angono Sports Complex.
Jaro said he will take up Denver?s status as a contender during the WBC convention this December.
Also set to see action on this card are Yuya Nakamura (Japan) vs Rochmad Santoso for the vacant WBC asia silver bantamweight championship.
Jomar Fajardo was initially set to see action on this card but he fought the fight of his life last Saturday in a split draw against Mexico?s Francisco Rodriguez, the WBO/IBF miniflyweight champ, on the undercard of PINOY PRIDE 28.
