
UNDERCARD RESULTS FROM CARSON

StubHub Center, Carson, CA ? All the five undercard fights were over for tonight's sold-out boxing event headlined by middleweight star Gennady Golovkin who takes on overwieght Mexican Marco Antonio Rubio for the Middleweight World Title fight and Filipino-American star Nonito Donaire who face power-punching Nicholas Walters for the WBA Featherweight World Championship.
In the 5th bout of the night, Edwin 'La Bomba' Rodriguez (25-1-0, 16KO) (L, top photo) of Worcester, MA dominated Azea Augustama (17-2-0, (9KO) of Hollywood, FL over 10 rounds in their Light Heavyweight contest. Rodriguez made target practice throwing heavy bombs against the plodding Augustama all night but failed to put away the solidly built Floridian. Two judges gave all the rounds to Rodriguez, 100-90 while a third judge gave one round to Augustama, 99-91 for a runaway unanimous decision victory for Rodriguez.
In the 4th bout of the night, Abraham Han (23-1-0, 14KO) of El Paso, Texas scored a majority decision victory over Marcos Reyes (32-2-0, 24KO) of Chihuahua, Mexico in a 10-round middleweight bout. The scores were 97-91, 97-91, 94-94 in favor of Han.
In the 3rd bout, Jaime Ocegueda (9-0-0, 6KO) (R) of East Los Angeles, CA, stopped Morris Rodriguez (6-4-1, 3KO) of Sacramento, CA in the 6th round of their 6-round light welterweight bout. Time of stoppage was at 2:31 of the last round.
In the 2nd fight, Ruslan Madiyev of Kazakhstan won over Oscar Rojas of San Jose, CA by unanimous decision in a 4-round Lightweight contest. Both boxers made their professional debut tonight.
Opening the fisticuffs under the hot afternoon sun of the StubHub center open arena, Walter Sarnoi (16-4-0, 10KO) (R) drew first blood by besting Sergio Najera (8-16-2, 2KO) of Tijuana, Mexico. Scores were 40-35, 40-35 and 39-36 in favor of Sarnoi.
